The growth of the insurance sector in 1H2023 amounted to 48.10%, GWP reached KGS 1.47 billion (EUR 16.21 million). At the same time, paid claims increased even more - by 61%, to KGS 303.03 million (EUR 3.32 million), according to data published by the State Service of regulation and supervision of the financial market at the government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Property insurance saw the best growth rates in the first half of the year - by almost 63%, while taking over half of the entire premium portfolio (54.20%). Mandatory insurance and personal insurance also recorded impressive growth rates.

At the end of 1H2023, there were 14 insurers operating on the market, among which the first place in terms of GWP was taken by NSK (KGS 302.87 million), displacing last year's leader ARSENAL Kyrgyzstan to the second position, followed by AYU Garant.
