STATISTICS: Croatian insurers' H1 GWPs up by more than 13% y-o-y
The gross written premiums (GWP) of the 15 Croatia-based insurers rose 13.13% y-o-y at the end of June 2021, reaching HRK 6.40 billion (EUR 855 million), according to the half-year figures published on the Croatian Insurance Bureau (CIB) website.

Non-life premiums increased by 13.29% on the year to HRK 4.82 billion while life premiums went up by 13.27% y-o-y reaching HRK 1.58 billion, the CIB report show.

Croatia osiguranje continues to hold the leading position in terms of GWP with a total market share of 26.66%. The total gross premium written amounted to HRK 1.70 billion (~EUR 228 million), which is 7.84% more compared to the first six months of last year.

EUROHERC Osiguranje ranked second with 11.50% market share (HRK 736.68 million) followed by ALLIANZ Hrvatska with 11.24% (HRK 719.93 million).
