STATISTICS: Croatian insurers posted double-digit increase in Q3 GWP

The Q3 2021 gross written premiums of Croatian insurers increased by 12.15% y-o-y to HRK 9.02 billion (EUR 1.20 billion), while gross paid claims by insurers totaled HRK 5.19 billion, up by 9% y-o-y according to the quarterly figures published by the Croatian Insurance Bureau - CIB.

Non-life GWP increased by 12.90% to HRK 6.82 billion, while the life insurance segment reported premiums of HRK 2.19 billion, up by 9.89% compared to end-September 2020.

In terms of GWP, CROATIA Osiguranje was the largest insurance company in the country (25.51% market share), followed by EUROHERC Osiguranje (12.18%) and ALLIANZ Hrvatska (10.87%).
