The life insurance segment was up by 3.5% y-o-y, to EUR 321 million, due the 65% y-o-y increase reported by unit-linked products , while the non-life business line dropped by 0.6% to EUR 473 million - influenced by the decreases reported on the two property lines (-1%) and the two motor subclasses (-3%)
The preliminary market results published by HAIC include the figures for 50 insurance companies accounting for 97.2% of the insurance market's full data for 2016.
HAIC noted in the report that all member companies, which are established in Greece, were taken into account, while the insurers operating under freedom of service (F.O.S.) were excluded.
