At the end of March 2023, the insurance market of North Macedonia totaled MKD 3.5 billion (EUR 57 million), up by 17.8% y-o-y, according to quarterly data published by the local Insurance Supervision Agency.

GWP from non-life insurance increased by 19.6% y-o-y to MKD 3 billion (84.7% of total GWP), while the life insurance segment totaled of MKD 538 million, 9% more y-o-y, official figures show.


In terms of GWP, the largest life insurer in the country was CROATIA (28.8% market share), followed by WINNER VIG (20.8%) and GRAWE (20%).

EUROLINK led the non-life ranking (14.8%), ahead of TRIGLAV (12.5%) and UNIQA (10.6%).
