According to the 2022 H1 figures published by the National Bank of Slovakia, the net profits of local insurers amounted to EUR 89.92 million, which was a 21% decrease as compared to 30 June 2021 (EUR 114.74 million).

Technical result in life insurance was EUR 147.20 million (vs. EUR -52.49 million in H1 2021), while the same indicator calculated for the non-life insurance segment was down by more than 13% y-o-y to EUR 47.50 million (vs. EUR 54.84 million).

In terms of GWP, local insurance market totaled at the end of June 2022 about ~EUR 975.2 million, while gross claims paid by insurers were about ~EUR 567.8 million, according to the 2022 H1 - figures released by NBS.
