According to the 2023 Q1 figures published by the National Bank of Slovakia, insurance market totaled at the end of March EUR 579.23 million (up by 14% y-o-y), while gross claims paid by insurers were about ~EUR 220.62 million (down by 13.6% y-o-y).

Life insurers’ GWP expanded by 26.74% to EUR 245.87 million due to the 62% growth rate reported by the Index-linked and unit-linked products, while non-life subclasses totaled EUR 333.36 million, up by 6.12% y-o-y.
