In Tajikistan, the insurance sector saw positive results in key indicators, as was announced by the experts of the National Bank at the final meeting on activities of this sector of the economy for the first half of 2023, Sputnik reports.
The meeting, which was held under the leadership of the first deputy chairman of the regulator Firdavs Tolibzoda, was attended by the heads of insurance organizations, the National Association of Insurance Organizations of Tajikistan, and responsible persons of the Bank’s structural divisions.
During the first six months of the year, insurance reserves increased by 57.9%, insurance premiums - by 19.1% and savings at financial credit institutions - by 36.5%. Insurance assets amounted to 0.6% of GDP.
The meeting participants noted that these results were obtained despite a negative impact of the decline in the real development of the world economy and an unprecedented rise in inflation in developed countries.
