Türk Reasürans has appointed Mr Özgür Bülent Koç as general manager, according to news platform Sigortaci, Middle East Insurance Review writes.

In his new role, Mr Koç aims to develop the company’s sustainable growth strategy and increase its effectiveness in international reinsurance markets, the platform said. It also noted that he plans to strengthen Türk Reasürans’ contributions to the sector and national economy through its subsidiaries Türk Katilim Reasürans and T-Rupt Teknoloji, as well as the Natural Disaster Insurance Pool, for which he assumes technical operations, and the Special Risks Management Centre, the source said.

Türk Reasürans was established in 2019 by the amendment to the Turkish Insurance Law, undertaking its operations with regards to the needs in the reinsurance market. Within the scope of the New Economy Program, Türk Reasürans aims to contribute to the “Economic Balancing” and “Healthy and Sustainable Growth” targets in the Turkish insurance sector.
