4 July 2024 — Daniela GHETU
As of July 1st, the merger of the Polish insurers belonging to the Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), Wiener and Compensa, became official. The newly created company operates under the Compensa brand and is ranking fourth among the VIG’s CEE subsidiaries.

“The very short, only 9-month merger process undoubtedly confirmed that our employees are ready for new challenges and well-prepared for the most demanding tasks,” commented Anna Włodarczyk-Moczkowska, former CEO of Compensa, who took over the helm of the merged company.

After the merger, the resulted company has a new organizational management team:

  • Anna Włodarczyk-Moczkowska - retail sales and marketing;
  • Adam Dwulecki (current CEO of Wiener) - corporate business area;
  • Damian Andruszkiewicz - retail products division;
  • Rafał Mosionek - claims handling, customer service and IT;
  • Ireneusz Arczewski - financial division;
  • Marek Gołębiewski - responsible for the company's transformation process.
"The merger opens up new opportunities for us and strengthens our position on the market. Thanks to it, we will be able to guarantee even greater security and insurance protection, an extended range of our products and service at the highest level. Our priority is to further improve the wide range of available services," explained Adam Dwulecki, Vice President of the Management Board of Compensa.

Wiener's existing corporate products distributed in the brokerage channel will now be sold under the Compensa brand, while insurance for small and medium-sized businesses in the agency network, like Wiener's retail products, will remain under the orange brand.
