The growth of complaints in the insurance market is noticeable – the number of written complaints against insurance companies has increased by almost 40%.
Regarding insurers, the NBU noted that these complaints primarily relate to disputes where consumers received incomplete insurance compensation or did not receive it at all for various reasons.
For the insurance market, NBU data for the first quarter of 2026 demonstrates an increase in the number of client complaints to the regulator and a high level of sensitivity regarding insurance payments. Non-payment and partial payment remain key causes of conflict between clients and insurers. The share of complaints against insurers with signs of possible violations amounted to 13%, which exceeds similar indicators for the banking sector and is comparable to those of financial companies, the source added.
