The TAS insurance group, companies of which are among the top 20 insurers in Ukraine, collected UAH 2223.12 million (~EUR 55.35 million) of GWP for 8 months of this year, which is 48.5% more y-o-y, Forinsurer writes.

In the group’s premium portfolio, one can highlight such key segments as Motor Hull, where UAH 441.2 million were collected, which is 19.85% of the insurer’s total GWP and is 58.8% higher than in January – August 2022. MTPL occupies 32.23%: here the company collected UAH 716.6 million (+38.4%). Total GWP on Green Card policies increased by 70.8%, to UAH 513.19 million, which is 23.08% of the company’s total premiums. Under voluntary health insurance contracts for January – August, TAS collected UAH 268.49 million, which is 12.08% of the total and 51.2% more y-o-y.

The group's paid claims for the reporting period amounted to UAH 814.73 million (~EUR 20.29 million), which is 38.3% more y-o-y. Motor Hull paid claims increased by 59.3% (UAH 254.3 million or 31.21% of the total insurer’s paid claims for eight months). More than a third of the company's paid claims (38.14%) came from MTPL (UAH 310.7 million, +31.2%). Paid claims under Green Card policies increased by 54% (UAH 135.86 million or 16.68% of the total TAS payments).
