UKRAINE: insurers take special measures to maintain full operation during the quarantine

2 April 2020 —
Based on the government decision, work of business entities in the country was prohibited from March 17 to April 3. Insurance companies were included into the list of exceptions and can fulfill their obligations in full, Forinsurer reported.

MTPL insurers follow a reinforced disinfection regime in their offices, some companies organized special mail boxes for receiving correspondence and visitors can leave documents there without any direct communication with employees, other companies are working even without reception of customers, providing consulting services and accepting documents via mail or in electronic form. Clients can also contact insurers using remote communication channels (phone, Skype, Viber, etc.), most insurance companies published on their websites instructions for sending documentation.

Some companies allowed customers to inspect their damaged vehicles independently (in the absence of difficult circumstances), or inspection can be arranged in any convenient place.
