From March 1, 2021, the sale of electronic MTPL policies will begin in accordance with the adopted Government decree "On additional measures to improve the procedure for providing electronic insurance services," UzReport informed.

The decree establishes the rules for sale, issuance, and verification of the authenticity of electronic policies for compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners - insurance services are carried out in the structure of a unified information system. Until July 1, 2021, information modules for sale and issuance of electronic policies will be introduced in the system.

From March 1, 2021, the Ministry of Finance, together with insurers, will sell and issue electronic MTPL policies. At that, such a policy is equal to a paper MTPL contract.
