Organizing of the Insurance Europe Conference in Bucharest also marks the 25th Anniversary of UNSAR and comes in the context in which Romania holds the Presidency of the European Union Council in the first semester of 2019.

"Insurance Europe is pleased to hold its Annual Conference in May 2019 in Bucharest, at a very important moment, due both to Romania's holding of the Presidency of the European Union Council and to the 25th Anniversary of UNSAR. It is the first time that our Conference, which attracts speakers and delegates from all over the world, will be hosted by a Central and Eastern European country. UNSAR is a full member of the Federation of European Insurers and Reinsurers since 2007, the year when Romania joined the European Union.
