Together, the two firms will control 26% of PAID’s share capital and voting rights, a block of shares previously held by bankrupt insurers such as ASTRA, CARPATICA, and CERTASIG. Infinity Capital will hold 15%, while Gravity Capital will own 11%, according to ASF decisions issued on September 9.
The move strengthens PAID’s ownership base and paves the way for the final redistribution of another 5.5% stake still tied up in liquidation proceedings.
“This change is a natural step in consolidating PAID and helps us stay true to our mission: providing households with financial protection against natural disasters,” said Nicoleta Radu, CEO of PAID Romania.
For the two newcomers, the deal signals confidence in PAID’s role as a cornerstone of resilience in Romania’s financial system. “This investment confirms our trust in PAID’s essential mission — safeguarding homes and strengthening financial stability nationwide,” representatives of Infinity Capital and Gravity Capital noted.
PAID’s shareholder roster now includes Allianz-Țiriac, Generali, Groupama, UNIQA, Grawe România, ABC Insurance, Infinity Capital, and Gravity Capital. Euroins România remains listed but its shares are in liquidation following bankruptcy.
