The GWP of Slovenian insurers rose 9.5% on the year in the first six months of 2023, reaching EUR 1.62 billion, according to the end-June 2023 market data from the Slovenian Insurance Association.

Non-life premiums increased by 11.32% on the year to EUR 1.21 billion, while the life GWP was up by 4.32% year-on-year to EUR 410.63 million in the review period.

Slovenia's largest insurers in terms of GWP were Zavarovalnica Triglav with a 29.96% market share (EUR 484.85 million), followed by Zavarovalnica Sava (18.17% market share, EUR 294.10 million) and Generali zavarovalnica (16.48% market share, EUR 266.68 million).

The figures published by the local insurance association include the data from 18 insurers.
