In 2024, the income and expenses of the Unemployment Insurance Fund in Azerbaijan will amount to AZN 238 million (or USD 140 million), which is AZN 20.3 million, or 9.3% more than this year, Trend reports.

The income of the Unemployment Insurance Fund for 2024 in the amount of AZN 179.98 million/75.6% (or USD 105.9 million) will be generated from unemployment insurance contributions, the remaining AZN 57.95 million/USD 34.1 million (24.4%) will be generated from the funds unused by the end of the current year.

In 2024, expenditures of the Unemployment Insurance Fund will cover 13 segments. It is noted that 30.7% of expenses will be directed to financing self-employment activities, 23.1% - to maintain the employment service, 18.9% - to co-finance wages for services, 14.7% - to organize vocational training and additional education.
