The insurance market of Kosovo totalled EUR 133.9 million at the end of Q3 2026, 4.45% more y-o-y, according to data provided by the Central Bank (CBK). The Bank ceased providing results for the life insurance business, which means this figure is related exclusively to the non-life business.

Out of the total GWP, about 57.5% or EUR 76.9 million related to mandatory MTPL: EUR 70.07 million for Domestic MTPL and EUR 6.82 million for border policies.

Paid claims amounted to EUR 65.12 million, 2.2% up y-o-y, with the mandatory MTPL LoB generating about 55% of this amount.

The figures reveal that the quarterly aggregate market result was positive, the 12 local insurers (of which seven are foreign owned) reporting a net profit of EUR 12.6 million, ~6% less than at the end of September 2025.
