ALBANIA: Insurance market rises 3% in January-July
The total GWP of Albanian insurers rose by 3% y-o-y to ALL 15.9 billion (EUR 172 million) in the first seven months of the year, according to the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA), SeeNews reports.
ARMENIA: MTPL GWP and paid claims continue to rise, while those for health insurance decline
MTPL GWP y-o-y growth accelerated from 16% to 18.5%, whereas health insurance saw a sharp decline—switching from a 4.7% increase a year ago to a 34.7% decrease in the first half of 2026.
AZERBAIJAN: In January-July, GWP rise by 7.3%, while paid claims increase by nearly 27%
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, insurance companies operating in the country collected premiums totaling AZN 1,006.4 million (~EUR 514.41 million) in January–July, which is 7.3% more y-o-y, according to Trend. Meanwhile, paid claims reached AZN 671.4 million, representing a y-o-y increase of 26.9%, the Central Bank stated.

ESTONIA: The number of traffic insurance cases rises 14% in the first half of 2026, yet fewer people injured

UKRAINE: Insurers' reserves for reported war-risk losses near UAH 1 billion in the first half of the year
In the first half of 2026, insurance companies paid out UAH 176.5 million in war-risk claims to clients, with the bulk of these payments occurring in the second quarter. Insurers paid out UAH 129.4 million during the April–June period, vs UAH 47.1 million in the first quarter, reports Forinsurer.
