Munich Re generated a net result of EUR 2,211 million (2,085 million) in the second quarter of 2026 and EUR 3,925 million (3,178 million) in the first half of the year, bolstered by very low major-loss expenditure in property-casualty reinsurance together with a very strong investment result, according to the company.

Hannover Re generated a very good half-year result in an increasingly challenging market landscape and considers itself on track to achieve the full-year earnings guidance of at least EUR 2.7 billion, the Group has announced.

Achmea achieved an operational result of EUR 492 million (-13%) at the end of June. Lower results at Non-Life and Health were partially offset by higher results in the International, Retirement Services and Pension & Life segments, the company said in its press release.
