According to the Croatian Insurance Authority, in June the market totaled HRK 6.88 billion (~EUR 0.91 billion), which is 7.53% more compared to 2021, osiguranje.hr reports.

On June 16-17, 2022, in Dubrovnik, the Global Seminar of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors took place. It is one of the most important meetings of insurance supervisors, representatives of the insurance market and other stakeholders, which gathers about 350 participants from 70 countries and was held for the first time in Croatia.

The GWP of Croatian insurers increased by 9.02% y-o-y in Q1 2022, to HRK 3.54 billion (~EUR 468 million), according to the quarterly figures published on the website of the Croatian Insurance Bureau.

GWP of Croatia-based insurers increased 6.78% y-o-y from January to April this year, reaching HRK 4.564 billion (EUR 605 million), SeeNews reports referring to the data of the Croatian Insurance Bureau.

According to the data of the Croatian Insurance Bureau by the end of February 2022, insurance companies collected GWP in the amount of HRK 2.24 billion (EUR 296 million), which is an increase of 6.29% compared to 2021.

According to the data of the Croatian Insurance Bureau for January 2022, total market GWP reached HRK 1.22 billion (~EUR 0.16 billion*), which 19.07% more y-o-y, osiguranje.hr reports.

The aggregate GWP of the 15 Croatian insurers rose 11.86% in 2021, to HRK 11.71 billion (EUR 1.55 billion), preliminary Q4 2021 data of the Croatian Insurance Bureau showed. Total gross claims paid increased to HRK 7.29 billion in the review period from HRK 6.53 billion a year earlier.

The Q3 2021 gross written premiums of Croatian insurers increased by 12.15% y-o-y to HRK 9.02 billion (EUR 1.20 billion), while gross paid claims by insurers totaled HRK 5.19 billion, up by 9% y-o-y according to the quarterly figures published by the Croatian Insurance Bureau - CIB.

The traditional annual event that reunites Croatian insurers, as well as their foreign business partners, the Croatian Insurance Days 2021 conference will be held on November 4, 2021 in Zagreb at the Hilton Garden Inn, abandoning for this edition its usual venue, Opatija.

Croatian largest insurer CO (Croatia osiguranje) announced in a statement that Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA) authorised Zoran BARAC as a member of the CO Supervisory Board.
