Kosovo insurers reported FY2021 aggregate net profit of EUR 8.7 million, more than double as compared to a year earlier when the same indicator was EUR 4.1 million, Central Bank monthly figures showed.

Gross written premiums from life and non-life insurance totaled EUR 119.23 million, of which life insurance - EUR 4.90 million, and non-life EUR 114.33 million, while total gross claims paid amounted to EUR 61.00 million.

The assets held by Kosovo insurance companies increased to EUR 238.90 million as of December 31st, 2021, from EUR 220.5 million a year earlier.

The figures comprise data for 13 insurance companies operating in Kosovo, 11 - non-life insurers and two life companies.
