The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) has become a member of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), which includes the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Commission, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, as well as insurance supervisory authorities, bizlaw.md writes.

By joining the Association, the NBM expresses its commitment to modernizing the financial sector’s supervision system and ensuring favorable conditions for the insurance sector in the Republic of Moldova.

IAIS, as a non-profit organization of insurance supervisors and regulators, covers more than 97% of the global insurance market.
