The number of farmers insuring their land is growing in Moldova. The amount of compensation for farmers is 70% of the sum insured, while for cattle breeders the amount is even higher, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea, noi.md wrote.

"We have very serious subsidy measures, that is, we pay 70% of the insurance policy. Most producers of perennial crops have insured their land, especially if they are in the subsidized period, they are all insured. We have about 100%, if we talk about cattle farms, where we pay, since this year, subsidies per liter of milk. I strongly believe that farmers would switch to insurance much faster, because they all understand that it is much easier to work this way if in all these 30 years in the Republic of Moldova, a real working insurance system has been developed", the minister explained.
