Kosovo 12^th active insurers posted 3Q 2023 Gross written premiums (GWPs) worth EUR 110.1 million, from EUR 98.2 million at the end of September 2022, central bank data showed.

Life insurance GWP totaled EUR 5.1 million (vs. EUR 4.9 million), according to the "Financial System - Monthly Information" released on CBK website. At the same time, non-life GWP increased by 12.5% y-o-y to EUR 105 million, of which EUR 54.3 million related to Domestic MTPL, EUR 7.0 million - Border policies and EUR 43.7 million - other voluntary classes, according to "The Insurance Companies Activity" published by CBK.

The Q3 2023 aggregate net profit of Kosovo insurers totaled EUR 9.4 million, almost tripling from EUR 3.1 million a year earlier, according to the central bank monthly figures.

The assets held by Kosovo insurance companies increased to EUR 300.7 million at the end of September, up from EUR 259 million at the end of Q3 2022.
