Life insurance GWP increased to EUR 1.9 million, according to the "Financial System - Monthly Information" released on CBK website. At the same time, non-life GWP increased by 13% y-o-y to EUR 27.9 million, of which EUR 14.6 million related to Domestic MTPL, EUR 1 million - Border policies and EUR 12.3 million - other voluntary classes, according to "The Insurance Companies Activity" published by CBK.
The figures reveal that the quarterly aggregate market result was positive, the 12 local insurers reporting a net profit of EUR 0.4 million, from a net loss of EUR -0.6 million at the end of March 2021. At the same time, the total assets held by Kosovo insurance companies increased to EUR 249 million at the end of Q1 2022, from EUR 224.5 a year earlier.
