GWP collected by Moldavian insurers totaled MDL 1,067.96 million and went up by 5.26% compared to the similar period of 2016, according to the official data published by the National Commission of the Financial Market in Moldova (NCFM).

In European currency, the evolution was of 12.44%, due to the appreciation of the national currency against the European one.

The value of the claims paid by insurers slow'y decreased by 0.84% to MDL 349.73 million.

Motor insurance still holds the most significant share in the total non-life insurance segment, about 68%, of which MTPL - 25.4%, Green Card - 22% and Motor Hull - 20%. Followed by health and property insurance with market share about 6.15% and 6.14% respectively, while market share of life insurance reached to 5.97%.
