Ante Žigman, President of the Board, Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa), stated that to achieve the declared goals of the green transition, investments in the European Union in that segment should on average be at the level of about 4.5% of GDP, which for Croatia is about EUR 3.4 billion per year.

At the "ESG - Sustainable Future" conference, which gathered about three hundred participants in Zagreb, speaking about the upcoming investments Ante Žigman added that Croatian entrepreneurs invested more in energy efficiency measures last year than in previous years.

"When it comes to the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals), Croatia has fulfilled 5 of the 17 goals, while the average in Europe is 3", he added.

The conference was held on May 23, 2024, in the Zagreb Sheraton Hotel, and was intended for non-financial reporting entities, all companies listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, consulting firms, accounting services, insurers and auditors, as well as representatives of the Government, local and regional self-government, non-profit organizations and all those who recognize their interest in the topic of ESG and non-financial reporting.
