Last year, 440 applications were submitted to resolve insurance disputes, of which 229 were related to motor insurance.

70% of motor insurance disputes were resolved by an agreement between insurance companies and clients. The average disputed amount of motor insurance settlement was EUR 4,000, the Estonian Traffic Fund (LKF) said.

According to Lauri Potsepa, member of the LKF board, there will be fewer disputes if a traffic accident is properly registered at the scene. "Last year, registration of accidents on the LKF website avarii.ee grew rapidly, today over 40% of all traffic accidents are registered through this web application", explained member of the LKF board.
