ROSGOSSTRAKH has announced its decision to merge life insurers - ERGO Life and RGS Life Insurance, according to the information on the insurer's website, published on January 31.

As mentioned in the insurer's statement "the merger will be performed within the period, established by the law, and in compliance with all necessary procedures", ERGO Life will be used to develop life insurance in ROSGOSSTRAKH group, ASN wrote.

In June 2018 ROSGOSSTRAKH registered its life insurer - RGS Life Insurance and in October 2018 announced about its decision to acquire ERGO Life from the German insurer ERGO Group. For the first 9 months in 2018 ERGO Life generated premiums in the amount of RUB 4.5 billion (EUR 59 million) and paid RUB 269 million (EUR 3.52 million) of claims.
