NN Slovensko, the Slovak business unit of Dutch insurance group NN, informed it has agreed to invest and to become the main shareholder of Finportal - "which is the number three in the financial intermediation market in terms of turnover" and "one of the fastest growing distribution companies in local financial market".

The transaction is still subject for approval by the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic.

The representatives of NN Slovensko mentioned that the companies associated under the NN brand takes care of pension savings or life insurance for almost one million Slovaks. Finportal brings together more than 2,000 intermediaries offering comprehensive financial advice under their own name and brand.

"This agreement brings us many opportunities to improve our services for clients and for the current business partners. One of the most important areas with great potential is digitization, Finportal being from this point of view, one of the market leaders. At the same time, we will look for opportunities related to further development of our internal distribution networks", said Peter BRUDNAK, CEO of NN Slovensko.
