SERBIA: Starting 1st January in Montenegro without a Green Card

The citizens of Serbia who travel to Montenegro by car will not need a Green card nor from 1st January 2012. It is envisaged by the Agreement which is signed on 12th December 2012 by the representatives of the Serbian Association of Insurers and Montenegrin National Bureau of Insurers. The same principle, traveling without the Green card, will apply for drivers from Montenegro.

The Agreement is extended territorial validity of the liability insurance policy, which means that the policy of automobile insurance of the companies for insurance will be valid from Serbia to Montenegro and vice versa.

The Agreement is signed by the Secretary General of the Serbian Association of Insurers Vladan Manic and executive director of the Montenegrin National Bureau of Insurers Boris Saban.

The Agreement means that the citizens of Serbia will be able to travel to 33 European countries without Green card starting from 1st January 2012. These are all EU countries as well as Montenegro, Croatia, Switzerland, Norway, Island and Andora.
