Insurance premium revenues in January - September 2011 were about ALL 6.52 billion (EUR 46.27 million), or 5.2% (in local currency) more than the same period in 2010, according to Albania's Financial Supervisory Authority.

The Albanian insurance market continued to be dominated by non-life insurance, which accounted for more than 87% of the total premium volume (gross written premiums of ALL 5.72 billion / EUR 40.60 million). Meanwhile, life insurance has increased by over 30%, continuing the trend registered at the end of June, 2011.
