LATVIA: GJENSIDIGE Baltic posts LVL 4.1 mln in profit in 2012

Insurance company Gjensidige Baltic, a subsidiary of Norway's Gjensidige Forsikring, concluded 2012 with LVL 4.1 million in profit after tax, Nozare.lv was informed by the company, writes LETA.

According to unaudited data, the amount of Gjensidige Baltic insurance premiums grew 13.4% to LVL 44.2 million in 2012. Considerable increases were recorded in Lithuania and Latvia - 25.2% and 8.3% respectively.

Last year, Gjensidige Baltic insurance premiums grew in nearly all main types of insurance. The largest increase was registered in health insurance - 33.8%. Gjensidige Baltic insurance premiums also increased in property insurance - 11%, mandatory motor third party liability insurance - 11.5%, and car insurance - 15.9%.

The company paid out LVL 26.3 million in insurance compensations in 2012.

Gjensidige Baltic Director General Aleksandrs Rjabovs points out that the company's customer loyalty research, carried out in the fall of 2012, showed excellent results. Compared to 2011, Gjensidige Baltic customer satisfaction index grew 14% in Latvia in 2012. This year, the company plans to carry out several improvements in customer service and technical solutions, strengthening the company's operations in the Baltic States, adds Rjabovs.
