According to xprimm statistics, the regional insurance market of Eurasia (former USSR*) grew by 19.67% in euros by the end of the first half of 2026, reaching EUR 27.56 billion.
Most markets posted double-digit growth, except for Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Moldova. Kyrgyzstan recorded the highest one (+43.90%), while Armenia recorded the lowest (+8.66%).
At the regional level, paid claims rose by 21.86%, reaching EUR 16.91 billion. Most countries in the region recorded double-digit growth in paid claims for the first half of the year, except for Tajikistan, which saw a decline (-56.38%). Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan stood out with triple-digit growth (+147.63%).
*no data for Turkmenistan, also Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania not included in the regional analysis
