STATISTICS:  CIS, 3Q2020: the largest decrease in GWP observed in Ukraine, while the largest decline of paid claims - in Georgia (in EUR)
At the end of 3Q2020, the regional insurance market GWP went down by more than 23% y-o-y to about EUR 15 billion, according to xprimm statistics.

It is worth noting that among the individual markets, for which the data were analyzed, only Azerbaijani market in European currency recorded an increase (+3.74%) according to the results of the third quarter, while the largest drop in volumes was observed in the Ukrainian insurance market (-35.40%).

Paid claims at the regional level decreased by about 18% y-o-y. Among CIS countries, the largest decrease in paid claims was recorded by Georgia, while in Azerbaijan, one of the two markets that recorded an increase in paid claims, they grew rapidly (+ 41.22%).

The shares of individual markets in the regional portfolio changed insignificantly. Russia remains the leader (with over 81%), while the shares of countries such as Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have not undergone any changes in the total GWP volume (in euros) compared to 3Q2019.

Note: Turkmenistan was not included into the regional statistics as the market data was not published.
