Azersigorta saw the greatest growth, collecting AZN 12.08 million over 5 months, which is 2.8 times more than a year earlier. A-Qrup Sigorta had the smallest increase - AZN 9.21 million (+7.9%), ABC.AZ wrote citing the statistical report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Out of AZN 566.43 million (EUR 311.22 million) of premiums collected in Azerbaijan in January-May 2023, AZN 466.94 million or 82.4% fell on 5 insurance companies: PASHA Hayat Sigorta (AZN 247.76 million), PASHA Sigorta (AZN 140.47 million), Qala Sigorta (AZN 37.32 million), Atesgah Hayat Sigorta (AZN 27.49 million) and Mega Sigorta (AZN 12.92 million).
Out of AZN 174.43 million (EUR 95.84 million) of paid claims in January-May 2023, AZN 140.96 million (80.8%) fell on the following 5 insurance companies: PASHA Hayat Sigorta (AZN 82.62 million), PASHA Sigorta (AZN 30.94 million), Atesgah Hayat Sigorta (AZN 10.23 million), Xalq Sigorta (AZN 9.87 million) and Atesgah Sigorta (AZN 7.29 million).
According to the results of January-May, 15 out of 20 insurance companies in Azerbaijan recorded an increase in paid claims y-o-y, while 4 companies recorded a decrease.
According to the Central Bank's report, the largest increase in paid claims was demonstrated by the Joint Insurance Company Aqrar Sigorta, having paid out AZN 1 million over 5 months, which is 7.1 times more y-o-y. At the same time, PASHA Sigorta (+2.5%) saw the smallest increase in paid claims.
