SCOR, one of the world’s leading reinsurers, has announced the appointment of Andrei Romanescu as General Manager of SCOR Bucharest, a strategic transformation hub within SCOR’s international network.
In his new role, Andrei Romanescu will oversee the development of SCOR’s operations in Romania, with a strong focus on enhancing efficiency, collaboration, and execution across the organization.
SCOR Bucharest joins a global network of more than 35 SCOR offices worldwide. Together with some 3,600 SCOR professionals globally, the Bucharest team supports clients in over 150 countries.
Under Andrei Romanescu’s leadership, SCOR Bucharest will bring together expertise in technology and data, finance, and Property & Casualty reinsurance operations. The hub aims to design smarter, more resilient processes and solutions that will help shape the future of SCOR’s operating model and strengthen its global ecosystem.

Andrei Romanescu brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience across industries including IT, telecommunications, and business services, with a strong track record in building and scaling operations. He has led large international teams and managed organizations through periods of accelerated growth, with a leadership style centered on people, strategy, and execution.
