"Due to the needs of our insured, from October 1, we have introduced coverage for Covid 19 for the whole world," Ivana SOKOVIC, President of the Executive Board DUNAV osiguranje said. She added that the company DUNAV Osiguranje advises citizens and insured persons not to travel to areas that have a high pandemic rate, unless necessary.
"However, on the other hand, we have provided complete coverage up to the amount of EUR 35,000 if any risk is realized, including Covid 19," she said.
For a seven-day stay abroad, a travel insurance policy with a covered risk of Covid 19 costs around 1,200 dinars (~EUR 10), and the price also depends on the country you are traveling to.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 72,000 citizens who have traveled abroad have concluded a travel insurance policy with DUNAV, and 70% of them have decided to insure themselves against financial costs in the event of contracting Covid 19.
About 5.4 thousand compensation claims were submitted to Dunav Osiguranje, and more than 100 million dinars (EUR 0.85 million) of compensation were paid.
