MTPL market in Ukraine in 2022 decreased by 2.6% y-o-y, amounting to just over UAH 7 billion (~EUR 0.17 billion), including UAH 4.8 billion (+19%) collected under electronic insurance contracts, Forinsurer reports with reference to the MTIBU (Motor Transport Insurance Bureau of Ukraine).

The number of settled claims amounted to 110.6 thousand (-36%), including 62.4 claims settled using European Accident Statement (-30%), and total amount of paid claims exceeded UAH 2.8 billion (-24%), including UAH 579 million paid under European Accident Statement.

MTIBU member insurance companies concluded 7.2 million MTPL contracts in 2022, which is 20.4% less than in 2021. Of these, 4.4 million contracts were concluded electronically, which is 62% of the total.
