Vienna Insurance Group launched its new website

29 June 2023 — Daniela GHETU
An optimized positioning of the Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), a strong focus on the target groups of investors and applicants, as well as a comprehensive area on the subject of sustainability are the core themes of the new website. For the first time, the website uses its own top-level domain with www.group.vig .

With a very modern design, a user-oriented approach is pursued through shorter click paths, intuitive navigation and reading flow control through offset teaser elements (Z-pattern). Above all, those interested in jobs and the capital market, who are among the main target group of the company's website, are encouraged to click through the information provided. An optimized candidate journey for applications with integrated gamification elements is intended to position VIG as a top employer.

The topic of sustainability is given more emphasis in a separate area. In addition, a sustainability button is used, which can be flexibly integrated on every page and offers valuable insights into VIG's sustainability initiatives. Also new is the introduction of a company blog, which offers, among other things, background information for journalists on press releases and added value for readers on the topics of careers, responsibility and innovative projects of the group. Particular value is placed on a higher proportion of moving images through "talking numbers", micro animations and videos. The integration of VIG's social media channels, the optimized view for smartphones and tablets and improved accessibility are further adaptations in the new look.

"We have analyzed our target groups and digital channels in detail in order to be digitally on point with our communication. One of the objectives of the relaunch is to present the size and diversity of the group in a contemporary and technically up-to-date image. In the new 'Markets' area, more than 50 insurance companies and pension funds have more space to present innovative products and projects," explained Wolfgang HASS, Head of Communication & Marketing at VIG.
