The delegation of the Insurance Supervision Agency of Montenegro, led by the President of the Council, Uros Andrijasevic, visited Vienna to participate in the meeting of insurance regulators of the CESEE region (Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe), the agency said on its website.

The Montenegrin delegation made a presentation named "Growing cyber and IT risks on the European insurance market", in which key challenges in the field of supervision were outlined, arising from the growing risks of accelerated digitization and use of information and communication technologies in the insurance sector, as well as future directions of cooperation regarding the exchange of knowledge and experience and information on cyber incidents between supervisory bodies, with reference to the new European regulation that is being prepared in this domain.

Montenegro will host the next meeting of insurance regulators of the CESEE region, in the spring of next year.

This time in Vienna, a bilateral meeting of the Montenegrin and Austrian insurance regulators was held, and the special focus of the meeting was on the operations of Montenegrin insurance companies with Austrian capital. In addition, the Montenegrin delegation exchanged information with colleagues from Austria regarding regulations and supervisory practices, which will result in the implementation of joint controls in the coming period, based on the previously signed cooperation agreement between the two regulators, the agency said in its press-release.
