Tajikistan will introduce an electronic insurance system on October 22, according to the press service of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), Sputnik writes.

Drivers will now be able to insure their vehicles electronically and check policy details online on the NBT’s insurance portal using a vehicle's registration number.

It is noted that until all existing policies are fully integrated into the system, no fines will be levied against vehicle owners and drivers.

The NBT notes that the main goal of the "Unified Electronic Insurance System" is digitalization and integration of processes within the insurance system, promoting transparency, regulation, quality control, and protecting interests of consumers of insurance services.
