According to the Association of Hungarian Insurance Companies (MABISZ), in the first three days, based on the claims received by member insurers, 45,734 homes suffered damage worth HUF 7.52 billion (~EUR 18.79 million), which means that the storm could have caused an average of HUF 165 thousand in damages to homes.
Regarding corporate, industrial, institutional and municipal property insurance claims, 1,700 claims were reported in the first three days of the storm, worth HUF 1.94 billion (~EUR 4.84 million), as MABISZ announced.
As the Association noted, claims are ongoing, insurers can compensate for minor damages within five working days, but settling damages for higher amounts takes time.
