President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov ordered to postpone introduction of compulsory motor insurance in the country, as Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev said, Sputnik writes.

"We discussed and decided that the deadlines for the start of fines for absence of MTPL policies will be postponed. There is a similar instruction from the president", the speaker explained.

At the moment, it is not reported how long introduction of the MTPL law into force has been postponed for. It was previously planned that from April 1, citizens who failed to insure their vehicles would be fined in the amount of TJS 3,000 (~EUR 32).
