MAPFRE appoints Group Head of Sustainability and new CEO for Inmuebles branch

MAPFRE recently announced two new Head appointments in its Sustainability and Inmuebles, both of them being placed in vacant positions after one management restructure and one retirement.

MAPFRE has appointed Monica Zuleta Diaz Monica Zuleta as the new Group's Head of Sustainability, which will be effective as and from January 1, 2021.

Diaz has a degree in Psychology from Universidad Javeriana Santafe in Bogota and a postgraduate degree in Competitive Strategy Management from the Universidad de la Sabana, also in Colombia.

For more than 20 years, she has developed her professional career in different positions in the field of human resources and organizational project development. In 2014, she joined MAPFRE in the strategic planning area and is currently the manager of Strategic Planning in the Corporate Strategy and M&A Area. She replaces Clara Bazan Cea as Group Head of Sustainability, who joins Fundacion MAPFRE.

Furthermore, MAPFRE has also appointed Alfredo Munoz Perez as new CEO of MAPFRE Inmuebles, replacing Luis Basagoiti Robles, who is retiring.

Alfredo Munoz Perez has a degree in Law and Economics from the Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE). He joined MAPFRE Asistencia in 1998, and in 2011 he was appointed CEO of MIDDLESEA INSURANCE (Malta). In 2015 he was named COO of MAPFRE in Turkey, subsequently becoming CEO one year later. In 2020 he took on the role of assistant general manager of MAPFRE Inmuebles.
