Non-life insurance totalled EUR 10.3 million in January, up from EUR 9.8 million the year before, while life insurance increased to EUR 2.4 million from EUR 2.1 million in the period under review, ANO said.
Lovcen Osiguranje held the biggest share, of 30.5%, of non-life GWP in January, followed by Generali Osiguranje Montenegro with 21.4%, Uniqa Nezivotno Osiguranje with 19.7%, Sava Osiguranje with 16.7% and Grawe Nezivotno Osiguranje with 11.7%.
In life insurance, Wiener Stadtische Zivotno Osiguranje held the biggest share of 55.2% in January. It was followed by Lovcen Zivotna Osiguranja with 26.5%, Grawe Osiguranje with 13.1%, and Uniqa Zivotno Osiguranje with 5.3%.
It is noted that 9 insurance companies operated in Montenegro at the end of January, including 5 active in the non-life and 4 active in the life insurance segment.
