POLAND: Euroins to expand its operations in Poland

22 October 2025 — Marina MAGNAVAL
Bulgarian company Euroins wants to expand its operations in Poland by opening a full-fledged branch in the country. The company also announced entering new distribution channels and expanding its product portfolio, Gazeta Ubezpieczeniowa (Insurance Gazette) writes citing XYZ.com.

"Establishing a branch is another step in the development of our business in Poland. We expect to do this soon. We see many benefits: a stronger presence in the Polish market, improved market credibility and customer trust, better service, synergies, and the opportunity to cooperate with the local supervisory authority", said Milena Gencheva, a member of the Euroins management board. "However, we believe these challenges are worth taking on to ensure stable and sustainable growth in the Polish market. Until the branch opens, we will operate in Poland on a FOS basis", she added.

A Euroins representative noted that the Polish market is characterized by particularly strong growth in the property insurance segment, making it attractive to any insurer. “There is still potential for growth, especially in the non-motor and life insurance segment, because convergence with Western European markets has not yet been completed”, Milena Gencheva explained.

It is noted that Euroins is part of the Eurohold group, specializing in energy and insurance business management. The company serves 2.5 million customers in nine countries, mostly in the European Union. Besides Bulgaria, its largest markets are Poland and Greece.

"Motor insurance, including third-party liability insurance (MTPL), remains a key segment for us, but we are looking for opportunities to expand our portfolio. This includes travel, property, accident, and health insurance. In some markets where we operate, such as Bulgaria and Ukraine, we are a leader in travel insurance. This allows us to bring significant added value to the Polish market in this area", Milena Gencheva emphasized.
