Nearly two-thirds of the winners of the "Mediation-Friendly Financial Institution" competition represented the insurance market, Gazeta Ubezpieczeniowa (Insurance Gazette) writes.

The "Mediation-Friendly Financial Institution" competition promotes amicable methods of resolving disputes between financial institutions and their clients and identifies entities particularly involved in promoting mediation in the financial market.  

A total of 13 representatives of the financial sector, 8 of which represented the insurance market, received awards. Seven insurers from the sector were among the awarded: PZU SA, UNIQA TU, TUW "TUW", LINK4, STU ERGO Hestia, TUiR Warta, and TUZ Ubezpieczenia. The Insurance Guarantee Fund received eighth award.

According to the Fund, nearly 97% of mediation proceedings involving its participation in 2022–2024 were successful.

The remaining awards went to representatives of the banking sector, the source added.
